Pine Valley Utah Engagement Session – Brandy & Jared

When we met up with Brandy and Jared just before their engagement session, we were a little worried about how it would go. Jared lost his cell phone earlier that morning at a clothing store, and Brandy was a little worried that they were running late. To make matters worse, there was more snow on the ground than we thought there would be, and it was quite cold and very windy. But once we got them wrapped up in a blanket and somewhat warm and comfy, everything just sort of naturally fell into place. It wasn’t long before we remembered the real reason we were all there. What we were there to capture and celebrate- their LOVE. And Brandy & Jared have no shortage of it. The way he can make her smile, the fact she can’t stop kissing him. The way he would pull her a little closer to protect her from the wind. Sigh… we just LOVE love. It’s such a wonderful thing to witness. We honestly can’t wait for their wedding day when we get to photograph them again.

Jared, thanks for being such a great sport about Brandy’s vision of pine trees and snow. You were so awesome to entertain all our ideas and requests. And Brandy, we’re giddy thinking about photographing you in your wedding dress. You are so lovely, it’s going to be amazing!

Hello photographers!

We have gotten such a great response and support from everyone about this shoot and we are so excited! We wanted to give you an update on a new special we are gonna run since so many of you were asking to extend the $100 discount. So we are gonna continue to offer that as a twofer; both you and a friend get the $350 price when you sign up together! (Then you won’t be lonely.)   😉

You can still pay separately, just both of you need to send an email to rachel@cactusandlaceweddings.com and mention the Twofer Special and the name of your friend that you are signing up with. And we will get you all set up!

C&LShootoutMarketingTwofer

Remember that this shootout is really three shootouts in one; because we will have 3 completely different stylized set ups with models for you to photograph. By splitting things up that allows us to have only a small number of photographers shooting each set up at a time. We are also providing lunch as well as transportation to and from WPPI. This couldn’t be a better deal!  You can see our previous blog post for more information. Please contact us with any questions.

Hope to see you there!

Our best; Lory, Rachel & Rey

Cactus and Lace Weddings – Stylized Cowboy Elopement

We’ve been waiting to post about this fun stylized elopement shoot for a while now. But since it was published yesterday on Bespoke Bride, we thought we would go ahead and show you some of the rest of the photos.

Tommy & Amanda are a real life married couple, and they were the perfect fit for this awesome stylized shoot. We got to hear Tommy sing and play guitar, and his talents are fantastic! And we just love the way he looks at his wife. You can see the real love shining through his smile. Amanda looked amazing in our dress and turquoise jewelry, and we couldn’t have picked a more lovely “desert bride”.

These photos were taken on a private property in Logandale, and the fantastic set up was stylized with the help of the amazing Katie Eastman. The lovely flowers and decor were furnished by our favorite flower shop,  The Front Porch Flowers.

We hope you enjoy this little touch of Country inspiration!

Our best,

Lory, Rachel & Rey

Elegant Elopement / Las Vegas Desert Weddings

Meet Dawn & Scott, the winners of our Elegant Elopement give-away! They flew all the way down from Canada to spend their special day with us at the beautiful Valley of Fire. Dawn and Scott are no strangers to Las Vegas, and had been thinking about eloping during one of their visits. So we think that Dawn might have had some divine inspiration to enter the contest, and ultimately win her elopement!

We had a great time working with Dawn via Skype and email to stylize and plan out she and Scott’s big day. One of the greatest parts of an Elegant Elopement is that you get all the beautiful details of a regular wedding, scaled down into a lovely, intimate setting. Dawn and Scott chose to share their day with a small handful of guests, and we were able to coordinate travel and accommodate seating, cake and refreshments for them while they enjoyed a beautiful fall afternoon in the desert.

Everyone was in awe of the beauty of the desert and all of the amazing and vibrant colors of Valley of Fire. Though it was a tiny bit chilly in the shade, we really couldn’t have asked for a more perfect November afternoon. It was peaceful and calm and absolutely wonderful.

We are so happy that our give-away went to such a lovely couple. Dawn and Scott and their entire group of family and friends were kind and gracious and helped to make the day extra special with their laughter, love and support.

Thank you so much Dawn and Scott for trusting us to plan and arrange one of the biggest days of your lives. We hope you cherish the memory, the photos and each other, always.

Our best,
Lory, Rachel & Rey

Our fabulous vendors:
