No Fear Tips and Tricks
Running off to Vegas for a classic elopement? Come learn some tips and tricks from a long-time wedding company to use in planning an intimate Las Vegas Elopement in the desert!
Eloping to Vegas is one of the easiest ways to handle a wedding! However, even a Vegas elopement requires some level of planning! Where will you stay? What kind of wedding do you want? How many guests will you invite? Will you do all the legwork yourself or hire a planning company? How much do you want to spend on wedding packages for your special day? Join us while we walk thru some of the questions many couples have when tying the knot in Vegas! We can shed some light on the best ways of getting married in Sin City!
Tip No. 1 Decide on the Venue.
First, deciding where your wedding will be held is key to having an easy and relaxed day. Many venues are booked one or two years in advance, and some can also be found just a few weeks ahead, depending on how much notice and time a couple has to prepare. For example, many of our clients book a year out. This helps nail down the date they want and allows them to be at peace knowing their location is locked in tight. Venues can be indoor, formal, or laid back, and for us, an outdoor desert wedding is a wonderful option to keep things organic, stress-free, and intimate for family and friends.
Also, we have found that adventurous couples really love the outdoors, and want the best of both worlds. They usually find a venue that suits their need to have beautiful scenery and sunsets, like the Valley of Fire State Park. They want a stunning, but more relaxed place to bring family and friends for a once-in-a-lifetime day. Vegas climate lends itself really well to fall and spring weddings.
And Valley of Fire is one of those locations that won’t disappoint. Sometimes, it is hard to imagine an intimate wedding in the vastness of the Mojave Desert, the brilliant red cliffs, rocks, red sand, soft green sage, and cactus. But that is exactly what makes this hidden gem so amazing. The park does require using a company who has a permit to host weddings at Valley of Fire though, like us- Cactus and Lace Weddings!
Tip No. 2 Make A Budget, then add 10% more!
Often, wedding budgets are like living things; they can flow and be calm like a river, or rage like a tornado, sucking everything into the wedding vortex. It all depends on you and your ability to stay focused and on budget, making hard decisions with a little panache. The key is to keep your eyes on on the prize, which is a lovely, tender, sweet day with your love, ending in your wedding ceremony. That is it! The rest is just frosting on the cake. So don’t give away your piece of mind for anything else.
We think putting priorities in place for your day helps to manage the chaos. Are flowers a priority? Do you want food or just cake and drinks? Decisions like these are important to make on paper first and then stick to, in order to keep finances in check. There are ranges within each category. Decide money first, then be creative in achieving your budget goals by moving within the range.
Tip No. 3 DIY, Wedding Planner, or Wedding Package Palooza?
Next, planning. Ask yourself if you want to plan every detail or would you like to have the whole wedding taken care of with a little help? Many busy couples are opting to have a planner take care of the details. Many times, this can be much more budget-friendly than doing it on your own. Planners can stick to a budget without all the emotional baggage that can insert itself into money decisions. Whew! None of that!
Tip No. 4 Consider All Inclusive Packages to stay on budget
Finally, check out all-inclusive wedding packages. This can also help lock down costs so you know exactly the cost of the event. With that nailed down, other costs like hotels, travel plans, and such, can be included with better confidence. We provide a wedding quote that includes the wedding day planning, the permits, officiant, photography, food, florals, cake and desserts, transportation, and small but elegant pieces of decor and seating that you want, in a comprehensive one-stop shop.
So, to sum it up, we will consult with you, get a sense of how you would like your day, and the styles you like, and then we take it and run with it, letting your and your love relax, and focus on each other. Our quote and wedding packages are firm, no surprises later! We are budget WARRIORS! No hidden fees popping up down the road, but we also are flexible if you need to change something. You will still know exactly how much it will be on our end.
With that peace of mind, your destination wedding in Las Vegas will be fantastic! Like Brianna and Trevors’ recent elopement! For more information and tips about weddings and elopements in Valley of Fire and other locations, check this out.
Meet One of Our Recent Fab Couples
First, can we say we love laid-back, happy couples! Our sweet couple were so cuddly and loving, with each other, and also with family and guests, we could feel it! A first look at Brianna and her dad had us all in a swoon. In addition, Brianna and Trevor really wanted all the fun things for their guests to enjoy at this wedding.
For the guests, we spiced it up with a marvelous taco truck with Tio Chuy! The tunes and the music flowed with DJ Leland, and we had the most tender and touching wedding ceremony (lots of crying going on all over!) curated by our wonderful officiant from Peachy Keen Unions.
Weddings are all about beauty and elegance, too. Our planner and vendors really went all out for these two! Check out how our florist used Brianna’s wedding colors to create an outstanding and unusual floral wonderfulness that really made this wedding pop!
A Good Kind of Trouble!
Last, but not least, we wanted to share what Brianna said the very first time she saw Trevor, who was on his way camping and had stayed with a mutual friend. “That’s my future husband, and here comes trouble!” That is how it started folks! We think it is the best kind of trouble, their love was so evident all day long. They really had a day of happy tears, laughing, dancing, and enjoying their family and friends without worry or stress! Woo hoo! Congratulations you two, it was a delicious day!
