A Desert Wedding in the Mojave always works best before the summer heat hits. And we timed it just right because our summer turned out to be the hottest we have ever seen. So glad we didn’t plan this wedding any later, we know better! And Ashley and Blake had the most perfect, sweet, lovely wedding there ever was!
Even a Miniature Horse at the wedding!
This was a fabulous dream wedding. The good vibes and sweet energy of the couple and their lovely friends and family were palpable. You could feel the good mojo all over the place! We had Yukon stone oven-cooked pizza, delicious cake, and sweet music from a talented guitarist Josh Crooks, and our beautiful bride and groom even had a surprise visit from Summer, our sweet little miniature horse!
Blake and Ashley met 5 years ago, after finding out that they lived only 7 miles away from each other! They often wondered how many times they had crossed paths or shopped at the grocery store at the same time without ever connecting that one time. But it truly was a love story meant to be, because they finally met at a local bar and were inseparable ever since! They were always trying to impress each other with how fun and adventurous they could be, eating cow tongue tacos, polar plunging into the freezing cold lake Blake lives on, and winter kayaking down the river after a beautiful snowstorm.
Santa Brought the Ring!
Even their proposal was romantic. Ashley said it was the most romantic day of her life. In her words, ” I woke up on Christmas morning to a trail of rose petals, fluffy fake snow, and twinkling lights leading to the Christmas tree, where I found the sweetest letter from Santa. “Santa” talked of how we were such a beautiful couple, creating a home together, and that there was a special gift on the tree just for me. A RING! He put the ring on the string of a gold heart ornament that I actually dropped! He spent 30 minutes searching for the ring before getting down on one knee and asking me to be his wife! It was the cutest, funniest, suspenseful 30 minutes ever!
