What’s not to love when Gothic moods meets Western Eclectic in this lovely, unusual, and delightful fall elopement held in the deserts near Las Vegas! Rustic chic rejoice!
Jewel Tones Really Pop in Fall Weddings
Our couple was so much fun, and we didn’t expect anything less than cracking jokes and shenanigans on the desert floor when they hired us to help with their desert elopement. We were not disappointed and really enjoyed our day with these two super amazing people and their guests. They had requested a blend of moody Gothic vibes with hints of the macabre. So we brought skulls, and all kinds of fun, blended with western old timey pops to make a totally unique wedding in the Mojave. Pairing black sheer drapes over the arch, with emerald greens, ruby, and deep blue tones in furniture and decor created a beautiful but rich vibe.
A Wedding Ring and Bridal Bouquet To Be Astounded By
Sam’s wedding ring stone was a stunning sapphire that pulled all the jewel tones together to make an amazing display. It truly stood out and glinted richly in the setting desert sun. Troy had picked it out, and she loved it! Her stunning wedding bouquet was another unusual creation, which we think might start a trend. Florals were balanced on top of a breathtaking solid cut piece of translucent richly colored amethyst that she held as she walked down the aisle. It was a simply amazing display.
Cow Skulls, Pizza, Popsicles, and Cake
Our couple had wanted a dinner in the desert with seated tables, china, and goblets. Dinner was oven fired pizza made from delicious sourdough, simply delicious! We were also able to serve handcrafted popsicles, curated from the most delicous fresh fruits, or creamy fudge chocolates, even in October!
One of our favorite things, though, were the cute, eclectic cake toppers our couple chose. You will never guess what the topper was. Give up? A cute felt possum and and raccoon dressing up our very tall 3 tier black cake. Our couple hails from Ohio and brought these two little hand sewn creatures as a head nod to the funky porch dwellers from their neck of the woods. Cow skulls finished off the western vibes, along with our brides sweet black felt cowgirl hat and boots, right at home in our Nevada desert.
