First, we want you to introduce you to Alexis and Mark, our most recent Vegas destination wedding couple! According to Alexis, she meet Mark in high school, but they lost contact after graduation. But, 10ish years later, Mark replied to a post she made on Instagram.
In addition, can you believe that two lovers can be brought together by air freshener? Listen as Alexis explained how it all played out. “One day in January of 2020, Mark replied to my post about air freshener for my car, Moroccan Mint. From that moment, we instantly clicked and spoke nonstop that day. Next, Mark asked me to lunch, lunch turned into dinner, and from that point on we connected on a higher level.” Moroccan Mint! Clearly, that is some powerful love potion right there!
Valley of Fire Red Rocks, Hot Sun, and Love
Valley of Fire has a Moroccan vibe, so it must be true that Moroccan mint is a continuing thread here linking Alexis and Mark’s love story. And Valley of Fire turned on the charm while Mark and Alexis celebrated their wedding day. It was bright and sunny.
Under the hot sun, evocative words from our officiant Berlynn, of Peachy Keen Unions were working their magic during the vows portion. Our amazing couple had tears as they pledged their love for each other. Along with making this couple a family, they already have Mark’s daughter to make it a trio. And as the flower girl, she was a central part of all the celebrations. Alexis and Mark barely had time to have their first kiss before being rushed and hugged by family and friends.
And for the best surprise, you can give on a wedding day – Alexis & Mark had us serve custom sugar cookies that had their guest asking “What’s this about?” The cookies had a big B and date…. That’s right – a baby! Alexis & Mark announced their pregnancy for the first time to their friends and family at their wedding reception! We just loved that!
It’s All in the Details! Wedding Inspiration Details!
Next, let’s talk about wedding inspo, we have some terrific details for you if you are planning your own wedding! First, Alexis was truly a glam bride with her sleek, sassy wedding dress. Her eyes were accented by pearls, lending a sophisticated yet updated look to her wedding. Additionally, she repeated the pearl theme in her hair, earrings, a pearl ankle bracelet, and her shoes. This wedding had amazing florals, really an incredible way to upscale a wedding. Beautiful flowing pampas grass and eucalyptus mixed well together, and sage greens and creams were repeated throughout.
Also, we had Trixie, the traveling bar to supply all the drinks needed to stay cooled off. And lastly, a deliciously decadent dinner, catered by our friends at Ray Ray’s, was a spectacular end to the day and delicious as well.
Lastly, the delicious cake, had a beautiful tribal-style pattern hinting of hot sands, and scirocco breezes from faraway lands. And finally, check out the photos for even more details of this beautiful wedding!
Congratulations to you both! We enjoyed every minute with you and your family and friends! All our love from Cactus and Lace Weddings!
