Yes, we want to tell you all about Stephanie and Chris, but first, we want to shout out to their amazing guests! We love to see the couple spending a lot of time mingling with their guests and enjoying the day. This was just one of those weddings where you could tell everyone there was there in genuine support of Chris & Stephanie. Also, there was an authentic concern from the couple and the guests about keeping the state park pristine, which we so appreciate. We love that Stephanie & Chris were so embraced by goodness and love on their wedding day.
Stephanie let us know right away in the planning stage that they wanted a moody wedding but not too Halloween-y, delicate balance there. Stephanine’s exact words: “I know this is kind of weird… but I want a coffin arch!” Yes! We love adding in surprising, unique details for our couples and this one turned out so cool. Don’t you just love the mix of goth vibes with bright jewel tones? It came together so beautifully.
And yet again the guests came in to add to the day’s decor with amazing bold gothic style colors to their attire. Score again, guests!
Though Stephaine and Chris are both quiet souls, the toasts ran the gambit of emotions. The best man’s speech offered such a great mix of emotion with funny jokes, all with the right timing. He mentioned how they as a family have gone through more than most and how that had shaped the man Chris has become. That really got Chris and everyone was moved. At the end he thanked everyone for being there and to Stephanie’s family he blurted out: “Welcome to the shit show!” More big laughs all around.
Stephanie and Christ together was a pleasure to see. Chris was always laughing. There constantly seemed to be a huge grin on his face, especially when looking at Stephaine. During portraits, Stephanie would gently brush Chris’s long hair out of his face; which was just adorable to see. Though they have been together 10 years, it seemed like they have been together forever. And we declare forever for their love!
