This was one of those weddings. You know the kind! Perfect weather, lovely guests, beautiful music played by a talented cellist, and one of the most spectacular locations to be married in, in our humble opinion.
Let me introduce you to Jessica and David. Every couple we work with we love, we learn more about them as we chat, and they fast become part of our Cactus and Lace Family. Jessica and David were no different and were so much fun that it made our day very special being able to serve them. We just love it when a couple is so in love, it is evident in everything they do. This couple was just like that. Looks and glances full of love and happiness, smiles, lots of kisses, stolen while no one was watching, oblivious to anyone around them for those brief seconds in time.
Jessica and David had decided to write their vows as part of their ceremony. We love when a couple decides to do that. It brings us into their lives in a way that is intimate and special. Words to remember their love, the reason they fell in love, and the things they love about it each other found a place in our hearts in the lovely area of Seven Sisters that day. Homage to the Valley of Fire’s vast desert land was also mentioned. David has a definite way with words, in his vows, he had tears flowing from not only Jessica but many others when he spoke so eloquently of his love for her, comparing her to a beautiful painting. Jessica joked that she went first with her vows because she knew he would outshine her with his offering. Not so, dear girl. When one speaks from her heart as you both did, emotion and love always win. We call it a tie.
The magic was there, the whole day. Delicious food and drinks were provided for guests, both ably executed by Carmen, of Sweet Sauce Coffee. It was just a wonderful day, all the way around.
Congratulations Jessica and David! Our love and best wishes that all your dreams come true, from all of us here at Cactus and Lace Weddings!
