If you are looking to have an elegant, intimate outdoor elopement or small wedding, one of the most lovely spots you can imagine is located just outside of Las Vegas, only a short ride away. Valley of Fire is a Nevada State Park that allows weddings within the park, but grants those wedding permits only to wedding planning companies that have the proper permits and insurance. In this post, we will show you tips and planning ideas on how to secure your wedding in the most gorgeous place you can imagine. And going through a wedding company approved by the park allows you to rest easy knowing you won’t run into any snags or legal issues by trying to do it against the rules on your own.
Valley of Fire Valley of Fire has made some changes for the 2021 year for locations. They now only allow wedding ceremonies to take place in two areas in the park, but two of the most perfect wedding spots to be found in the park. They are:
- The Seven Sisters Area
- The Visitors Center Area

The park is huge and there are also a variety of other locations set aside for portraits after the ceremony. There are 6 places already approved by the park for portrait sessions, although these require a special permit obtained by a licensed wedding company:
- The Cabins
- Lone Rock
- Scenic Loop
- Fire Canyon
- Mouse’s Tank
- Parking Lot #1
If you want to photograph anywhere else inside the park other than those locations mentioned, (Pink Canyon, White Domes, Fire Wave) special permission is needed which takes a minimum of 30 days to obtain the proper permits if it is granted. We’d be happy to help you with that process.
