It may have been a hot fall day but this wedding was cool to the max. With moody goth decor in the background, a recent morning rain made the colors of the earth saturated and rich and perfectly suited to this wedding. From the marble black fondant cake, and the black crescent moon arch, to Marissa’s magnificent black stone ring, this wedding had the best vibes without being overly macabre. Our bride was dressed in a black lace dress and the groom’s outfit totally complemented hers perfectly, lightening the overall darkness just enough to keep this wedding beautiful, yet moody.
Marissa and Darren kept this small intimate wedding all about the fun, with down-to-earth qualities that mimicked their personalities. They took each other seriously but were so happy, and their love was fully evident that day. Darren would sneak looks at Marissa and smile when she wasn’t looking, his heart was on his sleeve right next to the tattoo on his hands that made an “M” for Marissa when he puts his two hands together.
The groom’s brother had passed away last year, and Darren’s other brother gave a sweet toast in memory, with our sweet couple shedding love through some tears that fell. Darren had the year of his brother’s birth tattooed on his hands. The guests were all touched by the sentiments, especially on this day of love and remembrance.
All in all this destination wedding was so remarkable in so many ways. From the decor to the couple themselves, it was truly a WOW wedding undeterred by the Pandemic. It may have been delayed, but love will always triumph. Congratulations Marissa and Darren, you did it, right under that ol’ black moon! Congratulations and all our love and best wishes!
