Tacos, one of our all-time fav foods. But tacos at a wedding? HECK Yeah! A Vegas wedding with a twist! Out in the Mojave desert in one of the most amazing places, the Valley of Fire, we had a wedding! The Valley of Fire is a scenic wonder with red rocks and sagebrush, cactus and red sandy cliffs and mountains, the perfect place to get married! And with Vegas right next door to celebrate afterward, best of both worlds, natural and well, VEGAS!
Trevor and Sarah are military. When they decided to get married and chose Cactus and Lace Weddings,(we were so honored) we Facetimed with them, in two different destinations with one serving in Afghanistan, the other in the middle East. The ceremony was preformed by their dear friend and fellow solider; making it a special moment for them all. All underneath strings of white paper cranes blowing in the wind to symbolizing thier dreams coming true.
They were so in love, and Trevor has a great sense of humor. After the ceremony by their friend also playing officiant, Trevor said, “Is it always that fast?!” Sometimes Trevor, sometimes!
So many people wanted to toast and honor them and the love they share. It was obvious they were so loved by many. They don’t want a lot of attention on themselves, however and even invited others to join their first dance!
Wedding Tacos! Signature drinks!
The food and drinks were amazing! Tacos and Beer provided our food, and those tacos tasted phenomenal in the desert. The mobile bartenders at Craft LV hit it out of the park with signature drinks; with hibiscus florals, bringing in that bright fuchsia pink to the glasses. And Joypop, our favorite crafted popsicles were cold and frosty on this warm wedding day. Yes, we have warm days in October all the time here in Vegas. Makes a great escape from those eastern early winters. And desserts provided by Caked ended a sweet day on a sweet note.
Sarah had two beautiful gowns! One for the ceremony and one for the reception; she looked amazing in both! With blue shoes as her something blue. Her wedding bouquet provided by the Front Porch was lovely and complimented the colors used in the wedding decor. Fresh flowers really provide a solid foundation to build a beautiful wedding, and Trevor really couldn’t take it all in. He couldn’t keep his eyes off of her gorgeousness, and his face often revealed the love and awe for her on this special day.
Sarah and Trevor, Congratulations you two! Our best and happiest wishes go with you on your new journey together as a married couple. Love rocks!
