Creative Dating and A Fall Wedding in Valley of Fire – Aimee & Robert

Aimee and Rob are a dating app success story! In her own words, Aimee tells the story! “After texting back and forth for a while, Rob asked me out. He asked how creative/involved he was allowed to be when planning our first date and I told him that I was down for anything. He took that and ran with it – taking me to a Goodwill consignment store. He sent me to the men’s section to pick out any outfit I wanted for him to wear, and he was going to pick out mine. That is the story of how Rob and I went to dinner and a bowling alley, him wearing a heinous Hawaiian button down and me in a tank top that said “wild child”!”

“A week after our first date, we were both out on dates with other people. I came home disappointed and decided to Facetime Rob to cheer myself up. He didn’t answer but texted that he would call me back soon. After about 20 minutes of waiting nervously, he called back and we Facetimed until the morning. It was on that call that we planned our second date (on Valentine’s day) and neither of us went on another date with others ever again.

A few months into our relationship we both confessed to having been on a date that night! Rob actually cut his date short to come home and talk to me, a girl he had only met once in his life. After that it’s history! We traveled together, we met each other’s families, we fell in love. A year later, we moved in together and adopted a cat. A few months after that, we went to Hawaii and Rob proposed to me under a waterfall on the most magical day of my life… so far!”

We loved this couple, and their joy and energy were so fun and brought so much life to their party! And what a party! Pizza by Fired Up, and the most delicious cake ever, our particular favorite, peanut butter chocolate!
