Vegas House Party Wedding with Literary Love: Jennifer & Trent

We love elopements and small intimate weddings! We believe keeping life simple is the way to happiness! So we were excited to have Jennifer and Trent contact us to assist them in having a wonderful easy day for their special wedding. Jennifer and Trent have been together awhile, long enough to have two sweet precious daughters together! These two little sweet girls really stole the show and got lots of love from us ladies at Cactus and Lace! But Jennifer and Trent both looked pretty good themselves. Jennifer was gorgeous in her amazing gown, with lace touches that duplicated the lace on her two girls’ white dresses. So cute and so sweet to see all three girls in white dresses! Trent looked pretty good himself with a crushed blue velvet tux. He was seen holding his little girls quite frequently and we could tell he loves them dearly.
In fact, during his toast, Trent said to Jennifer, “Thanks for making me a better man! And thanks for not using birth control without telling me, so we could have these two wonderful kids.”
Everyone laughed, and we are not quite sure it is true, but it sure did make a great toast!
Jennifer wanted a book theme for her wedding as she loves books and loves reading. She also requested a black and white cake to celebrate their heritage. So we made that happen and their cake was black with white marbling and delicious as well! Trent’s boutonniere was really cool with flower petals made from book pages!
The couple’s family and friends were great, a lot of fun and a lot of teasing going on. Rowdy groomsmen and amazing weather for this group made the day fun and light-hearted. Charcuterie and cocktails were a great addition to keeping everyone fed and happy. Carmen from Sweetsauce Coffee did a marvelous job.
After the ceremony, there was an after-party in Las Vegas at a private home where the fun continued until much later in the evening.
All in all, it was a wonderful day and we were honored to be a part of this beautiful couple’s wedding day. Jennifer and Trent, we wish you the very best of wishes, and may you have a long and happy marriage ahead. All our love, Cactus and Lace Weddings!
