Valley of Fire near Las Vegas is a magnificent place to tie the knot! Jessi and Matt are a testament to having all the happy moments with an intimate outdoor wedding in the desert. With her beautiful, stunning green eyes matching her jewelry of turquoise and an amazing squash blossom necklace, this girl had all the eyes on her as she walked the aisle to her love, Matt. A beautiful ceremony led by our lovely officiant Amanda, of Jubilee Occasions started the tears flowing and a bunch of hooping and hollering!

Cowboys and Cowgirls meet in the Wild West

You could tell the love was flowing all over this group, from their parents to all of their guests. Everyone had something sweet or funny to say during the toast portion of our wedding that spoke of their love for this amazing couple. Cowboy hats and bolo ties were in full attendance. As well as all things southwest, Jessi and Matt also love music, love the outdoors, and love to hike.

Let’s get this love story spelled out a little better so you have an idea of the small little serendipitous events that happened over and over. It really was meant to be!
Beginning with Jessi, this love story began when she decided to move to Richmond. She arrived at her new living place just a day before Matt came to visit Richmond with a few best buddies to see the “Foster the People” concert at the National.

Cancelled Concert Leads to A New Beginning

What happened next? Well, for the first time in 8 years, Foster the People had to call the concert off due to illness, which left Matt at some loose ends. By chance, both had jumped on Tinder and matched that very morning! They began to talk via text for about a year. By this time, Matt decided to take matters into his own hands, and on October 26, 2018 he hopped in his vehicle and drove the distance to meet in person.

As soon as Jessi opened the door, Matt was stunned and in love right then. Looking at Jessi’s striking green eyes, I am sure his heart skipped a few beats. They spent all night getting to know each other, and became virtually inseparable despite living an hour apart.

Adventure Proposal

A short year later, Matt and Jessi moved in together in August 2019 when they also planned a grand hike. CoV happened and the hike was delayed until about a year or so. But on Sept 7, 2021 at the top of Asgard’s Pass in Alpine Lakes Wilderness, Matt asked Jessi to spend the rest of their lives together, surrounded by granite peaks and pristine mountain lakes! That 21 miles was worth every step! Congratulations Jessi and Matt! We love you and send our best wishes for a long happy life together!
