What brings a couple to Vegas? Running off to get married of course! Vegas is the elopement capital of the world, with lots of options for a honeymoon right after getting married. JaShana and Derrick met in March right in the middle of the pandemic, fell in love, and decided to blend their families into one big old amazing family. He was a country boy, and she was a city girl. They were so different and yet, they knew this was the best thing ever. This couple originally planned a big wedding but then decided to downsize a bit and create an intimate wedding with just a few special people, their kids mainly. And what better venue than Valley of Fire for an elegant but out in the desert event!

JaShana walked down the aisle between her two handsome boys, with Derrick waiting at the arch for her. Between beautiful teenage girls and handsome teenage boys, this ready-made family was ready to seal the deal with their parents. It was fun to watch all their laughter and sometimes some shenanigans as they climbed cliffs and rocks during their parents’ photo session. But JaShana knew just how to rope them in, in the nicest way of course, and being a teacher, she had the teacher-boss glint in her eye to do just that. They were delightful really, and so much fun, we know this marriage will be a wonderful thing for all of them.

JaShana looked elegant and beautiful, with a boho style dress and veil for the ceremony, and later changed fancy shoes for boots with her lovely dress which worked really well to bring in a little added country to this wedding. Derrick had a ready smile for her every time, and his sense of humor was very evident to bring joy into this marriage. We were so happy to be able to share this day with them, they were all so awesome to be around.
