We love Pinterest. Well, maybe obsessed with Pinterest is more like it. And when we saw the pins Brooke added and loved on the board we had created for her to work from, we were ecstatic! We love the unique and different things a bride loves that put a little personality in each wedding. Brooke was born decades too late, but, F Scott Fitzgerald would have been proud to call her a fellow traveler. We loved a quote from Fitzgerald that really sums up the love that Brooke and Darrin feel for each other, “I love her, and that’s the beginning and the end of everything.”

Brooke loves glitz and gold and glamour, and when we saw her step out of the limo on the day of her wedding, she was the epitome of a glam girl. From her dress to her hairstyle, and her lovely expression as she looked at Darrin, she looked the part. There was something special about the way she looked at Darrin, and the way he looked at her, it seemed as if the rest of us just disappeared and became invisible. There was such a love and devotion to each other that shown in their eyes, that we could say, we really “felt” their love. What a great experience!

Brooke wanted jewel tones and glitz at her wedding, so we used emerald greens, deep blues, ruby reds, and pops of rich color everywhere. Her flowers picked up on that in an amazing way. We love floral touches which help make the decor just pop. And another one of  Brooke’s requests for us for decor was to make a champagne glass tower. What a design feat! We were up to the challenge. But on the day of the wedding, some winds decided to make an appearance. So how to make that tower that Brooke has always wanted at her wedding, and not have a huge tower collapse? Well, we have our trade secrets, and you will just have to guess what we did. But that tower will withstand gale force winds, just to be clear. It was strong and immovable, and held out the entire day. March and April are our windiest months, and sometimes the winds can gust over 30-40 mph hour. Brooke’s wedding was no different in the windy part of April. It was very breezy, but her day turned out to be just perfect, even in the wind. Some of our best photographs come when the wind plays havoc. There is a wildness to the wind that translates into some really great pictures. Brooke’s guests were able to just take that ole wind, and roll with anything it threw at us.

We loved Brooke and Darrin, their family and dear friends. Our best wishes for a long, glamorous and lovely life together!
