Chelsey and Rick are not your everyday ordinary couple. This dynamic couple, or should I say the “dynamic duo”, met on April Fools day, April 1, 2011, and married on Friday, the 13th of September, 2019! What happened in between is a tale that really should be told! We will only give a few deets, but mostly this couple exists in a high energy form and really are go getters. Let’s start off this post with a little quiz and a multiple choice question to begin!
First question. They met in: a.) a bar according to Rick. or B.) they met at a work function- according to Chelsey. Correct Answer? A+B= Both They met at Bay View Brew Haus in Milwaukee at a work function in the bar on April Fools. Chelsey saw Rick across the room, and called out to her friend, “First, dibs!” Chelsey beat Rick at a game of pool that night, and they have been together ever since, working together, as entrepreneurs, and best friends, and growing to loving each other.
Second Question. What do Rick and Chelsey have in common from their younger days? A. They both had the same love of math? B) They both were on cheer teams? C) they both like chocolate milk? Correct answer? B. Both Rick and Chelsey were on cheer squads, unbeknownst to each other at the time. What a crazy coincidence! But another thing they have in common is their love of Marvel. These two are Marvel-ous and they love Marvel comics and movies of anything Marvel. Rick even went so far as to have custom suits made for himself and his groomsmen with the added fun of Marvel Socks, with Rick’s socks, of course, being Captain America! Chelsey ordered her wedding dress in one shot, tried it on, it fit perfectly! Boom! Done!
Rick and Chelsey are first and foremost, best friends. They love to hang out, work together, and just feel comfortable around each other. They share the same views, enjoy travel, concerts, Marvel movies, trying new restaurants, new experiences, and it just feels, in Chelsey’s’ words, “Easy and great, we really are best friends!”
Rick and Chelsey decided to host their family and friends at Seven Sisters, in Valley of Fire, Nevada, just outside of Vegas. They had a wonderful day planned, with classy chic, yet boho feel decor for their event, and even fed their guests street taco’s hot off the grill with shrimp, steak, and chicken from Vegas Taco Bar. They tasted fantastic.
All in all, it was a terrific day, a very terrific wonderful day. Congratulations Chelsey and Rick! We are soooo happy for you! All our love, from Cactus and Lace Weddings!
