William and Katie pulled up to their beautiful soft lilac-themed wedding in a classic 1965 white Mustang convertible. And that beautiful car looked so good, we pulled it up right next to the ceremony like she was one of the guests. In fact, that Mustang was the only guest. Though they have many loved ones at home (including two kids!). They opted for a ceremony with just the two of them as it’s been a long road in trying to get married.
William and Katie have been together over 10 years and got engaged almost 5 years ago. Thanks to COVID, they had multiple wedding dates set. The final date was meant to be in April 2023… but… instead, they got a surprise baby born in April 2023.
“Our two babies are the absolute best things ever. We love spending time as a family.” But sometimes you need to celebrate with just your true love.
Summer weather for this August wedding but with clouds and a breeze this outdoor wedding was very pleasant. We loved having our live musician violinist, playing Canon in D and Here Comes the Sun.
The ceremony had lots of heartfelt sentiments from Sean the officiant. William and Katie said their own vows, exchanged rings, and did a modified sand ceremony. Lemon drizzle cake was cut and Katie sat with her feet on William’s lap; wiggling her adorable white bridal heels while they ate and chatted. Katie giggled A LOT, and we just LOVED that!
William did a champagne spray, which backfired and sprayed directly in Katie’s face! She laughed it off and was a good sport about it. But Katie kept getting cake frosting on his dark blue suit by accident and had to keep getting wipes to clean it off – so much so that it became a bit of a joke over how many times we said “We got wet wipes!”
As the sun set, they took the top down on the classic Mustang convertible and they drove off into the sunset!
