Hannah and Mike hail from the big easy, New York. People get married in New York all the time, so what could this couple do to have a unique and elegant but low-key wedding that was a bit different? Get married in Las Vegas, of course! But they wanted to take it a step further, and have the ceremony and celebration out in the Mojave Desert at Valley of Fire, the most unique and stunning natural geological backdrop right on Vegas’s doorstep. Yes!!!!
Our wonderful couple met at the Crossfit gym in New York, in Binghampton. And here is another score for dating apps my friends, Tinder wins again. The couple saw each other on Tinder and started dating since they kind of knew each other from the gym. One thing led to another starting way back in 2018, and they ended up getting engaged on Hannah’s birthday weekend in April 2021.
Hannah and Mike decided to get married at the beautiful mansion of a family friend they were staying with, but wanted to somehow include Mike’s two kids in the ceremony, so during the sand pouring ceremony, they incorporated the kids into the moment letting them pour sand too. It was a perfect way to create a family bond of unity that day.
One of our favorite moments of the day was during the bridal portraits of Hannah, Mike stood behind us while we photographed her, taking pictures on his phone and telling her how beautiful she looked. We loved that! It is so nice to see his love for her and how he doted on her that day.
Hannah and Mike, we loved being with you on your big day! May you have our best wishes follow you wherever you journey together! Love from Cactus and Lace Weddings!
