Love knows how to speak every language. No matter what country you hail from, or what nationality, love is fluent, rich, and able to communicate in every way possible the feelings of the heart. And five years ago, Carlos and Vania met and spoke that language. Even after a few stops and starts, they connected and have never been apart since. Introduced by a mutual friend, Victor, this couple got engaged on a surprise trip to the Grand Canyon in May 2019. Carlos surprised Vania with a beautiful ring, she said yes, and then, a few minutes later it started snowing! And the whole moment was captured on video by Vania’s sister who pretended to take pictures of them, while the watching crowd around them cheered with joy…
Carlos and Vania come from a distant country, their language is based on romance and passion. When they called us, we were glad to plan a wedding with a Spanish speaking officiant, in their native tongue. Vania was a glorious bride, with a classic updo hairstyle and lovely gown, and her colors were bold, bright, and beautiful contrasting against the desert rocks of Valley of Fire. Carlos was Mr. Style himself, right down to his red tennis shoes, and we even hid a raccoon, his favorite animal, in his boutonniere and in Vania’s florals.
This couple wanted to get married in an adventurous way, but with all the details found in a full wedding. And we delivered!
Valley of Fire, specifically Seven Sisters, provides a great balance between raw wild open desert, and the ability to have elegant table settings and all the lovely decor touches we here at Cactus and Lace Weddings are known for. We were the first wedding company to offer furniture in the desert here at Valley of Fire, and we have been pulling it off with class ever since. Like many couples, Vania and Carlos wanted a dinner option for their guests, and what better option than the iconic In-N-Out burger to provide a fun and filling touch. With FRIES, and yes, even secret sauce.
With the most gorgeous blooms on her bouquet, to the ruffled cake with the secret reference to Harry Potter on the back, this wedding had it all. Easily handled by us, because we have been doing this a long time, with love and joy for each of our couples.
And last but not least, we added a tour and photoshoot for another iconic location, the Neon Museum in Vegas, which we took Vania and Carlos to, and took some amazing shots among all the old historic signs of Las Vegas, some from the very beginning of our gaming history in Nevada!
Vania and Carlos, we love you and wish you the very best of wishes, vaya con dios friends!
