Sometimes opposites attract, and other times, like meets like. For Nicole and Joshua, it was more like this fun zany couple met who both eat mac-n-cheese and sushi at a steak house, and churros at a food truck the same night. But back to the meat of the relationship, steak house notwithstanding, Nicole and Josh met in San Marcos, Texas while attending Texas State. About 8 months in, while hanging out regularly, as Nicole puts it, “One day he looked at me with come hither eyes, and the lights turned on in my head and I decided I must have him. We’ve been together ever since.”
Now, what does Waco, Texas, home of Chip and Joanna Gaines Magnolia Market, as well as the site of the Waco Siege and the Branch Davidians standoff have to do with this crazy fun couple? There is one more significant historical moment not mentioned in the major history books but one we find especially endearing. Yes, folks, it was there on the rooftop of a shipping container tiny home that Josh had rented just for the occasion that history was made. On the roof at the end of a beautiful day, watching the sunset, Josh proposed to Nicole. She said yes, and the rest, really is, history.
Josh is Nicole’s best friend, and she is his. We sure loved them! And this sweet couple absolutely loved their wedding day experience with us. In Nicole’s words, “It was a dream and far exceeded anything I imagined!” We love hearing stuff like that!
Our best wishes to you both! All the love in the world from Cactus and Lace!
