Leia and Angus literally met in a ditch! Around 20 years ago, Leia’s brother and Angus were in a fraternity together around 2002, then introduced Leia to Angus. Leia and Angus really did work together in ditches, doing geothermal and lawn irrigation jobs. A long friendship began and in 2017, Angus asked Leia to marry him.
Fast forward to Valentine’s Day Feb 14th, 2022 and this couple, with their two sweet little children as flower girl and ring bearer eloped to Las Vegas. The sweet little ring bearer had the rings on a little ring pillow backpack! How cute is that! A simple, but beautiful ceremony in the Valley of Fire, surrounded by the beauty of the majestic red cliffs at Valley of Fire, near Las Vegas, and in the presence of a close group of friends and family, this couple pledged to love and care for each other.
Leia’s cousin, a baker from LA, provided macarons for our guests, and our hand-crafted cake was suspended by macrame ropes on a very amazing cake swing created especially for Cactus and Lace Weddings! Leia was so lovely in her gown, with flawless hair and makeup, a beautiful bride! Angus looked marvelous, as well, both had done the first look at their Airbnb, and then a photo tour at the Cabins at Valley of Fire before the ceremony at the Visitors Center. The day was perfect, with no wind and not too hot or cold, blue sunny skies overhead. Florals for the event, as well as the arch, and delicous cake by CakedLV, were provided by Bloomingbelle’s and were deliciously beautiful and made our day sweet and fragrant. It was a wonderful day!
We want to wish you two the very best of wedding wishes, and give you a big congratulations from us as well! Yay!
