Lizzie and Joe are both from South England, but as college students they ended up going to the same school in North England, and in fact, they joke that they moved in together the day they met on day one of school! (Actually, Joe lived on the floor above in University Halls!) They have been together ever since, and their anniversary date is February 28th, leap year!
This wedding was a true elopement with just the two of them as the only participants. Sweet and simple, an easy choice making the best day ever for Lizzie and Joe.

Joe had planned a surprise vacation to Las Vegas and they decided to elope while they were there. Using their four-legged family member as a prop, Joe proposed by putting a bandana on their fur baby, Bonnie. The bandana read, “Will you marry my dad?” What a cute way to propose!
And of course, Lizzie was on board!

Valley of Fire in March can be a fickle friend, but for this wedding, she put on her finery and the scenery was spectacular with beautiful weather, making for amazing photographs as always! We can bet Lizzie and Joe will show their friends the fantastic photos of the unbelievably vast desert they were married in, as our photography is our favorite thing to do on wedding day! It is something Cactus and Lace is well known for! And because we are an all-inclusive wedding company, everything our couple desires is provided and prepared, even the officiant, so our couple can relax and just show up on their wedding day!

With dramatic clouds and a fresh rain days before, the rocks and cliffs had turned a vibrant deep rich red, highlighting our couples’ color choices of soft blue, baby pinks, and lovely lavender. Lizzie was so beautiful in her gown, with its sheer lacy cutouts and long tulle train. She was stunning and we were so glad to be a part of this wonderful couple’s special day!
