For being a December wedding, it was as warm as a cinnamon roll hot out of the oven. But that’s Vegas weddings for you, just a surprise around every corner. This year, our weather was close to something in Las Vegas in October instead of dead winter in December. Seemed like it was in the balmy high 70’s for Wesley and Christina’s wedding day. Gorgeous!
Bride and Groom’s First Look at the Neon Museum
This lovely couple had kept the guest count low. Bringing the focus on just a few people helped to keep an intimate, close, and very romantic vibe for their special day. We had arranged to have a photographer do some getting-ready images at the hotel before the wedding, as well as a first look at the fabulous Neon Museum. The Neon has a great history with many of the Old Vegas signs, rescued and displayed. Great for pre-wedding photos!
Love, Raw and Sweet
With details like the lace on Christina’s gorgeous gown, and with short sleeves in December we might add, and Wesley, dressed in a great suit, and who only had eyes for Christina, we could feel the romance and love they had for each other. Deep and intense, it permeated their beautiful wedding day in a palpable way. That was so special for us, and we loved their sweet interaction with each other. Our Front Porch Flowers design perfectly complemented this rich, earthy vibe.
The ring, what about the ring! Christina’s wedding ring was so unique, it was a raw cut diamond, straight out of the earth and beautiful. Perfect setting for a Valley of Fire wedding to come later that day.
Vegan Mini Wedding Cakes
When the couple and guests arrived, they were just a bit early so we sent them on a little tour of Valley of Fire beforehand. While we set up the decor, we wanted to highlight that Caked Las Vegas, our Las Vegas baker, had created little mini cakes for this wedding. They looked fantastic and what a unique idea! The guests loved them and our baker knows how to make vegan cakes delicious, like Christina and Wesley. Yes for vegan funfetti! And beautiful violin music by Phina Romero Harvey, permeated the quiet desert with hauntingly lovely and wistful vibes.
Dear Christina and Wesley, we loved your sassy selves! We adored how your love for each other was front and center, as it should be. May your marriage be long and happy, and you remember this day always, and with the love and beauty that surrounded each of you. Congratulations from us at Cactus and Lace!
