Texans Darby and Hunter picked a very good day to get married! After a long cold winter, the Vegas weather had finally turned the corner. Hot and sunny, the temperature in the 80’s out in Valley of Fire where this wedding just rocked it! This couple wanted all the wedding day things- a DJ, an authentic Taco Truck, and a Bar, and that was just a fraction of what went on the other days of the event.
These two have been together since their teens, 7th grade even! Who meets the love of their life in 7th grade? These two! Crushing on each other in the hallway, and eventually, Hunter ran into her and asked her out!
Fast forward to 2021, Hunter asked Darby to marry him and after just 6 months it was a done deal with us at Cactus and Lace Weddings in the desert vistas of Nevada. A favorite family spiritual leader and uncle performed their ceremony, officiating at Hunter and Darby’s wedding and adding it to a long list of many other family members’ ceremonies he has done.
With our amazing florals from the Front Porch and a rocking cake swing with a gorgeous cake by Caked LV, moving in time to the music from Party with Life, this wedding was a ton of fun. Adding a surprise white towel send-off for the couple, who were alma maters at Texas A&M, this event was stellar from top to bottom!
Congratulations, Darby and Hunter! We wish you all the very best! Love from the foothills of Las Vegas as Cactus and Lace Weddings sends you hand in handoff into the sunset!
