Hannah and Jason are the kind of couple who are so in love, at times the rest of the world fades away. So we were so excited to find out they wanted to do a first look and personal vows at the NoMad library. The NoMad is a unique and very cool place and it was a great setting for Hannah and Jason to do those quiet moment things between themselves before we left for Valley of Fire, and the gorgeous Seven Sisters area, one of our favorite wedding venues for adventurous couples who love the outdoors.
Hannah and Jason are like yin and yang, they complement each other so nicely. Vivacious, lovely Hannah is bubbly, outgoing, spunky, and lots of fun while our handsome Jason is more reserved and quiet, an even keel kind of guy, but absolutely smitten with Hannah. What could be better than that!
The warm fall day was a little breezy to begin, but quieted right down, which we love. When we arrived at Valley of Fire, our own Amanda of Jubilant Occasions was ready to be our officiant for the day. Totally in their own world at times, after the ceremony, during the first dance, they sang the lyrics to each other as they danced to their favorite song.
It was so touching and beautiful to watch them interact with each other because you could really feel the strength of their love and commitment to each other. This couple also had some really close friendships with those who attended and wanted to make sure they were taken care of. So we had all the fun things for a warm day in the desert to help make it fun and enjoyable for everyone.
Beautiful florals and a bouquet for Hannah, delicious charcuterie, and also a bar with Carmen of Sweet Sauce Coffee, and popsicles of all kinds of refreshing custom flavors, each handmade in small boutique-style batches by JoyPop were offered. We like to mention the entertainment, aptly DJ’d by Leland of Boogey entertainment who also set up the music for Hannah’s maid of honor and other friends singing a parody of “About Damn Time” by Lizzo. When they mentioned Jason going down, we knew right then, this couple has some seriously hilarious friends.
All in all, it was a terrific day for everyone and we are thrilled we were a part of it!
Thanks, Hannah and Jason for thinking of us here at Cactus and Lace Weddings, we are honored you chose us for your wedding! All our love, from the heart of the desert, and congratulations!
