What started out as an online meet, turned into a friendship that grew into love. Amanda and John met in graduate school and it was a perfect proposal when John popped the question on their anniversary. “He proposed using a hand-drawn anniversary card with Treasure Planet. It was very sweet and I love that it is something I can keep for forever.”
Walking down the aisle arm in arm with her father as their parents watched on, John – who happens to be a Prince William look alike – was perfect in his forest green suit.
Micro weddings with just a few guests were always popular with Cactus and Lace Weddings but it has now become normal as the world has been forever changed by COVID-19. Lucky for Amanda and John, when they contacted Cactus and Lace Weddings in 2019, their plans were for an elopement in Las Vegas! With only a date change, they never had to change much else. Their midweek September nuptial performed by Alex from Peachy Keen Unions wasn’t the only beautiful thing. Check out Amanda’s custom made dress by Brides and Tailors in Canton, MI. She was a dream wrapped in lace. If you can’t tell….we love lace! And that gorgeous hairpiece? – Custom made by the bride! Wow!
All the fixings come in our perfect micro package. It’s your day so give yourself the pampering of hair and make-up by Ruby Finch Salons, a sweet treat from Caked, beautiful florals from The Front Porch, and the luxury of riding off into the desert sunset with limo services. Amanda and John had all the luxuries of a full-scale wedding without the headache. “This was an amazing experience. I love only to have to talk to one person for everything. It was a breeze! I also had so much fun. I HATE taking pictures, but for your wedding, it’s such an important part. Amanda really made it so fun and enjoyable.”
It’s hard not to fall for Amanda’s gorgeous smile and John’s good time personality! Together they make a happy and dashing couple. Micro weddings pack all the punch in a shorter time frame than full-scale weddings and with families like the Pressly’s and Boscamp’s, it’s no wonder we wanted to spend all afternoon celebrating with them! Congratulations to the newest Mr. & Mrs. Boscamp!
