Halloween only comes once a year, but for some couples that just isn’t often enough. At Cactus and Lace Weddings, we specialize in beautiful weddings at Valley of Fire, NV. Usually, those are light, romantic, and soft weddings with pastels and pinks, you know, the kind you find on the cover of the Knot magazine. But for our couple, Nerissa and John, having a wedding that really meant the most to them meant a Halloween wedding, complete with moody dark, and rich colors.
This couple even went and bought a Michael mask for Halloween and made sure they took lots of pictures with it at Valley of Fire with us.
During the ceremony, grooms are often nervous, and John was no exception. We won’t embarrass the poor groom, but while he was saying his vows, he misspoke and said the wrong word instead of ‘dimple’. He vowed to always love her ______. (Rhymes with stipple). John swears he didn’t say that, but everyone roared with laughter! After the ceremony, John’s mom gave a toast and told a very sweet story of how she knew John liked Nerissa. Our couple had first met at her house, and John stayed up talking with Nerissa until 2 am, even though he had to go to work at 4 am. That was just not like John!
Nerissa and John, best wishes to you from all of us at Cactus and Lace! Happy Halloween!
