You may think that clouds covering the sun on your wedding day is not ideal, but actually – it’s the BEST! Clouds make for PERFECT lighting for photos, so it just tickles us pink when we have such a gorgeous day as Jackie and Dominic’s. This sweet bride and groom were incredibly kind and SO happy and grateful to be there. You could feel that they were taking it all in; being fully present for their wedding day experience.
Jackie had her two kids walk her down the aisle. So sweet! Her daughter was so very thoughtful and worried about her mom walking so far to get to her groom. Was just a pleasure to witness.
The sun actually came out when they started saying their vows! Talk about magical! Their vows were so personal and very moving. With the sand pouring portion of the ceremony, it was for not just Jackie & Dominic, but the kids too. We loved the way Sean, the officiant, explained the blending of the family together, just as the sand mixes, so do their lives. It was such a beautiful cool addition to the ceremony.
We do love it when family and guests want to share in the event by bringing a gift. Jackie’s sweet mom contributed with some treats to add to our dessert trays. So thoughtful!
Jackie and Dominic first dance to themselves, but quickly added the kids in as well. They couldn’t quite figure out how to dance as the four of them together, but when they did it was super cute! Dominic called them “our kids” from the beginning, which just melted our hearts.
Because Dominic and Jackie drove a Jeep to their wedding we just had to incorporate it into the portrait session at the end of the day. The headlights were a perfect addition to the overcast light of the dreamy sunset.
