The day of Stephanie and Eric’s elopement was lovely. We knew it was going to be a blessed day when we saw a group of big horn sheep at the top of a red rock formation watching Stephanie and her party get out of the limo. They were intently watching us and since these animals are usually apt to stay away from people generally, but were allowing us to watch them as well, we felt it was a great gift, and a very good sign things were going to go wonderfully.  Areas near Las Vegas, Nevada are known for wide open desert vistas, and the Valley of Fire did not disappoint. From the beautiful blue in the skies to the red fiery desert canyons, this wedding setting was perfect. Stephanie and Eric and their wedding party arrived in style in a lovely stretch limo from Presidential limo. The Front Porch Flowers had created  stunningly, beautiful, floral arrangements and the bridal bouquet and floral crown for the bride, as well as a centerpiece on the table using purple and pink flowers, and gold accented with lovely pops of color accents from purple berries and grapes. Deliciously scrumptious ribbon ruffles adorned the wedding cake in purple ombre custom designed by the artistic hands at Gimme Some Sugar bakery. Hand lettered place name cards and a hand designed custom floral card on watercolor paper from Foil and Ink had a wonderful verse inscribed from scripture which the bride had chosen about true love. Stephanie’s mother had read her part of it during the sweet and simple ceremony performed by Angie of Peachy Keen Unions, and Eric’s mother was supposed to have read a second part. Due to a terrible accident, however, she was laid up with a severely broken leg back home, missing the wedding. Unbeknownst to Stephanie, before coming to Nevada, family and friends had secretly taped Eric’s mom reading her part of the verse and it was played at the appropriate time during the ceremony. Watching Stephanie as she realized whose voice it was, and heard the words sent from a loving mom to her son and new daughter caused tears to roll down a beautiful bride’s cheeks, and ours too… It was so touching, and sealed a beautiful feeling of love on this union on this very special day.

We so enjoyed creating this wonderful day for you all, we wish you many blessings ahead, with love from all of us here at Cactus and Lace Weddings.
