Julie and Jett hail all the way from Minnesota, so when we told them that a November Las Vegas wedding can be quite nice, Julie took our words to heart and wore a short sleeve wedding gown that spoke of the warm temperatures we were experiencing this year. As a matter of fact, a temp of 70 degrees and sunny blue skies were the day’s weather conditions. It was just a wonderful day all around.
These two were very much in love, and we love a man who will shed a tear when he sees his beautiful, radiant bride in her gorgeous gown for the first time. Julie had requested our photographer meet her at the Flamingo hotel in their gardens outside to do a first look. Not only did Julie have a first look with her beloved Jett, but she had a tender moment when her father saw her for that first time in her gown as well. Both men were really overcome and it was such a sweet moment to witness and capture for them.
Let’s Tie the Knot. Really.
On to Valley of Fire for the entire wedding party and the real wedding ceremony and the party began. Julie and Jett had obtained an authentic woven wool hand-fasting cord from Scotland, from a mill that has been in operation for centuries. This ceremony is where the phrase “tie the knot” comes from as if done correctly, when the couple has been bound together when they release each other’s hands and pull each end of the cord, it ties a knot. This was so cool to watch!
Terracotta Wedding
We loved the warm rustic flair and fall colors of autumn that Julie had chosen for her color palette, and our bakery, Caked LV perfectly coordinated the warm terracotta tones in the cake. It was beautiful and delicious, with raspberry mousse filling separating the chocolate tiers. Matching terracotta-toned raspberry cupcakes and cute cow-skull-shaped white frosting laced cookies rounded out the dessert menu of this fantastic desert wedding.
Rustic Boho Decor and Pampas grass pops
Julie’s florals were magnificently created by the Front Porch Flowers in tones of rust, terracotta, burnt orange, sage greens, and dusty pink with pops of maroon and touches of elegant pampas grass accents. We had a rattan queen chair and matching coffee table with florals to add that touch of a living room in the outdoors, so much fun!
Taco’bout A Vegas Wedding!
Our guests were also treated to tacos for this relaxed carefree wedding. Ray Ray’s catering had a mouth-watering full menu of tacos, beans, rice, and all the fresh Tex Mex fixings. Taco’s make a great dinner in the desert!
All in all this day was about as perfect as it could get! Weather, food, family, and friends all in one glorious day. Julie and Jett, we were honored to be with you and help create a memorable time for you on your wedding day! Best wishes and all our love and warm wishes for a long and happy marriage! Stay warm!
