Sarah and Andy wanted to go to Vegas! Who doesn’t with all the cool hotels, like the MGM Grand where Sarah and Andy stayed, and being able to get married and start your honeymoon in the same day! We got exciting stuff going on in Vegas, baby! Especially getting married in the Valley of Fire with us, here at Cactus and Lace Weddings!
But, wait! – I am getting ahead of myself. Let’s go way back, way back to the very beginning where this all began. Sarah and Andy are from the UK, as we mentioned, and ladies, this is where it gets good. I am talking about the nitty-gritty of love and how one single English girl decided to find it. As you know, men are sometimes reticent to start things rolling. They like to take the lead, or so we are told. But many are also verrrrrry slow to take action in the area of love, you see, and sometimes a little nudge is in order. One of Sarah’s childhood friends, Matt, just happened to be best buddies with Andy. But if we left it there, nothing would have happened. About 8 years ago, Sarah asked Matt if he had any single friends. He mentioned Andy’s name, but Sarah never really thought much more about it beyond that.
But fate had a hand, and Sarah one day popped over to Matt’s parent’s house. Matt’s Dad was about to go pick up Matt and his friends from the pub. Sarah offered to go pick them up, and there Andy was, slightly worse for wear after drinking with the boys. However, even in that state, Sarah could tell there was something good going on about Andy, she wanted to get to know him better. So she went out that evening with the boys and Andy for little libation-alcohol for you newbies, and she said, “When I left to go home, Andy just jumped in my car for a lift. I drove him home and he just hopped out, and I went home. Hmm. Ok. The next day I met Andy and Matt to go watch a gig, again another great day, but disappointingly he still didn’t ask for my number or to see me again. Hmm, Ok. BUT, two weeks later, I got a text message from Andy out of the blue, asking me to go out on a date,” and in her words, “I’ve not got rid of him since. Turns out he was just a bit shy.” So there you are ladies, the secrets of dating from those who live across the pond in the big UK.
She said, “We’ve been together 8 years and it’s been amazing. We have built a home together. Every challenge, bad day, or happy moment, we are in it together. Don’t get me wrong, there are some tough moments, but we’ve grown together, and I’m not sure where I would be, without him.”
Sarah and Andy, we love that you found each other, and then found us. We wouldn’t have met otherwise, and that would have been a sad thing!
But we know you are really here because you want to know the details on the amazing leather jacket of Sarah’s, right? Her grandmother spend dozens of hours perfecting that handpainted creation! Have you ever seen such an amazing jacket? We were so jealous and could not stop talking about it. And it went so well with her stunningly red, luxuriantly wild hair.
Congratulations, hold hands through the bad patches, kiss on the good days, and know our best wishes for a long and happy marriage for you both are in our hearts!
