Rodeos, steers, horses, cowpokes, and cow-girls. They all seem to blend together in one big happy family. Rodeos are full of excitement, clouds of dust and lots of fans and riders all getting together. So, to make a long story short, our wonderful couple, Charley and Clayton, met at a little rodeo up in a small town in Washington. They met in June and started dating in August, and whew! doggie,(See my cow talk here?) it went right on from there. By October things were really moving along. Come rodeo time by the next year (while the World Series Team Roping finals & the All in Barrel Race was here in Vegas), we had a wedding here in the Valley of Fire all planned! And that girl knows how to dosey- doe down the aisle in her sassy wedding dress. She looked so beautiful, and Clayton could not keep his eyes off her.
Charley loves her Clayton. One of the best qualities she loves about him is his kindness. We love kind people too, they really make the world go round. Clayton, on the other hand, loves Charley’s laugh. That laugh when she thinks something is funny makes his day. Her eyes really light up and her whole face breaks up into a big old grin.
They say that people who work with horses are pretty savvy. Plain old horse-sense they call it. Having us take over all the stress and wedding detail planning was pretty smart, too. But we think that Charley and Clayton have good old sensibility. They found each other, fell in love, and have made a new family with their son, and two little girls. Pretty smart we say.
Our best wishes from all of us here at Cactus and Lace Weddings! Yeehaw!
