Talk about an international love story! This couple’s story contained all the fun elements of true love, ending in a wild desert elopement that started all the way in Europe. Weaving their courtship from one end of Italy where it started and meandering all the way to the United Kingdom while the pandemic raged on around them, this couple found a way to long-distance romance. And when they were finally able to visit in person, they would quarantine together and just stay inside for several weeks to be able to see each other in real-time instead of virtually. There were lots of ups and downs, stresses, and little annoying things which could have destroyed a fledgling relationship, but instead, grew it stronger and more resilient. Carina and Guiseppe had made it through the worst and were triumphant.
The day of their marriage dawned bright and sunny, with beautiful warm sunny fall weather typical in Las Vegas. The couple wanted a small intimate wedding of close family and just a few friends and the area we had chosen at Seven Sisters in Valley of Fire worked perfectly for that small group. Brilliant red rocks lit brightly caught the fiery rays of the sunset, illuminating our couple with their bold fiery warmth and with the love of the people surrounding them. Simple but elegant, this elopement provided a lovely beginning to their continuing love story, now as a married couple. Beautiful musical tones of classical violin created an atmosphere equally as elegant as any formal venue but set in the pristine beauty of the Mojave desert.
And not to be outdone by the brilliant colors of the sunset, our couple’s wedding cake mirrored the bright warm colors of a typical desert sky at sundown, with oranges, yellows, deep and rich tones almost exploding in their beautiful bold palette. Delicious as it was beautiful, and topped with beautiful florals to match, we thank our vendors- Caked LV and the Front Porch Flowers!
We loved every minute, and send our love and best wishes to both of you as you start your new life together, now in California! Congratulations from Cactus and Lace Weddings!
