From the very beginning, Dawn and Gus were taken with each other. Working at Target, they were bound to run into each other pretty often. Gus was a manager and Dawn was support staff, and soon they became great friends.
About a year into their friendship, they were both invited to a football game by a mutual coworker, and guess what! The sparks flew and they became inseparable! Football for the winning ticket of love!
Vegas has been a special place for Dawn and Gus. Back in 2018, they flew out to spend New Year’s Eve on the Strip. Gus took her up to Mount Charleston while they were in town, and surprised her by kneeling down that fateful day on December 28th and asked her to marry him! Fireworks were seen in more than one place that New Years’ Eve!
We love to ask our couples what their favorite characteristic is of their fiance. Dawn loves Gus’s willingness to put everyone before himself. She said, “He would give you the shirt off his back if that would keep you warm and dry.” But Gus, on the other hand, loves Dawn’s pure love and happiness for life. “She loves with her whole heart”. Awww, that makes us happy to hear!
Dawn, Gus, and little Ethan we wish you tons of fun, loads of good wishes, and lots of love forever!
Our love and best wishes to you from all of us gals at Cactus and Lace Weddings!
