Wedding days in Vegas are always amazing one way or another. Perhaps it is family who haven’t been seen for a while, friends who travel long distances to be there with the couple, or just a wonderful mish mash of happiness, beautiful spaces, great food and music. It all makes for just an overall fantastically great day in the desert
Francesca and Philip had one of these perfectly amazing days recently in the Valley of Fire State Park, just a short drive, but very well worth the trip!
Valley of Fire Shows Her Windy Side
At first, the weather threatened to cause a few problems with the wind, but this group knew how to handle things and took it in stride. It calmed after a while and things really began to take off in a joyful way, with soft overcast skies making for stunning photography, a beautiful ceremony officiated by lovely Amanda of Jubilee Occasions, and with some wonderful toasts over a delicious dinner of tacos and fixings from one of our favorite taco trucks.
Great Tacos and Great Music
Along with great food, we had a very talented musician in Marlon DaSoul. Marlon combines playing violin with DJ’ing in a fresh and unusual way. He is really popular in the club world and we were excited to have him with us once again.
Our decor was outstanding, with fantastic floral arrangements in warm orange and rust tones bursting with color. Our desserts really took the cake with real candied orange slices cascading down the front of a muliti-tier confection wonder.
Love and Cheers
Truly though, it was the love from genuine people who really stood out with their warmth, love, and joy for this couple. There were so many loving toasts, especially the groomsmen, who gave wonderful, funny speeches. However, one of the best speeches came from Philip. A little nervous about giving a toast initially, he really nailed it in a brilliant way. He gave such a heartfelt, touching speech, and ended, “to my beautiful wife, the woman I love, Cheers!”
Congratulations to Frankie and Philip! Best wishes from all of us at Cactus and Lace Weddings! It was a joy!
