Want a low-key elopement with just a few family and best buddies along? Come along with us as we explore a pop-up wedding in the wild, wild west! This elopement was complete with Elvis music and rustic decor mixed with elegant glam! I mean, what is a disco ball good for if you can’t place it next to a cow skull! This laid-back yet posh event took place in the glorious outdoors at one the most scenic, relaxing red rock venues near Las Vegas on a sunny fall day.

No Need to Fear, Elvis is Here!

Cactus and Lace Weddings planned for an easy and carefree day, our couple gave some general hints and a few must-haves, brought their Elvis playlist, and the rest was a piece of cake for them! Their clothes and wedding attire rocked! We can’t wait for you to see how our bride brought in her theme and incorporated touches in her gown and Stuart’s clothing. This UK couple brought all the style a destination wedding needed! Check out the photos!

Additionally, our wedding inspo featured a beautiful champagne tower, with touches of little white tiny clusters of baby’s breath, at Stephanie’s request, as well as individual mini-wedding cakes from Caked, donuts from Pink Box, and a catered dinner by our friends at Ray Rays. Set in the vast desert floor of the Mojave, but only a short drive from fabulous Vegas, we had all the elements of a large-scale wedding, but at a fraction of the cost.

Incredible Landscapes for a Wedding Reception at Valley of Fire

Clearly the scenery at Valley of Fire is almost indescribable, you really have to see it to experience it. And only a limited amount of weddings are allowed there. Luckily, we at Cactus and Lace have had a permit to operate there for many years! Only permitted operators are allowed to use this amazing venue for weddings, keeping it exclusive and intimate, but also budget friendly.

Although it is a state park, Valley of Fire has set aside permanent wedding areas to be used only by vetted wedding companies. Our wedding for Stuart and Stephanie was really gorgeous, and we loved planning it for and with them! We love this couple!

Fur Babies for the Wedding Proposal Surprise!

Did you know that Stu totally surprised Stephanie by proposing next to the Usk reservoir on a walk with their two dogs, Vito and Gin! He climbed a tree and set up a GO-PRO to capture the whole proposal! She was blindsided and was not expecting that at all, and of course, Vito and Gin were ecstatic over the whole thing. Love rules!

Echoes of Love

Captured and heard as it echoed in the surrounding quiet hills and cliffs as they spoke their vows to each other, in an intimate and close ceremony with an intuitive celebrant from Peachy Keen Unions, Jacoba. This was the real deal, sealed with a kiss.

Next, it was celebration time with some cold icy beer, and a lovely dinner, beautiful flowers from our fav florists at the Front Porch, and many other vendors who made this day terrific! Donuts, cake, and sweet kisses from our couple kept things rolling!
