Gabby and Colton’s love story began on Tinder. You’d be surprised to hear how many of our couples met on Tinder and got married! Gabby’s intuition told her right away that Colton was the one; even before they met for their first date. She shared, as she walked into Dino’s restaurant, she knew it wouldn’t be the last aisle she’d walk down. Their relationship was strengthened early on as Colton experienced the sudden loss of his best friend. The way Colton handled such a difficult time in his life and Gabby being a big support, made them both realize that they could make it through anything as long as they had each other. The bond they have is truly evident in their love for one another. And we are here to celebrate it!

Their wedding day was the perfect mix of Rock N’ Roll and Retro Boho vibes. Very fitting for a Las Vegas desert wedding! They even walked down the aisle to Elvis “Can’t Help Falling In Love”. Great song choice! We set up our one-of-a-kind black moon arch for their ceremony backdrop. Which we just LOVE the contrast in the Valley of Fire and how it tied everything together. The florals were a beautiful edgy design matching our color palette of black, white, rust, blush and terracotta. With added pops of pampas grass and dried palms for dramatic flair. And of course lots and lots of disco balls for retro vibes!

Gabby & Colton had a large bridal party to support them in their marriage. The groomsmen wore rad looking amber suit jackets with black bow ties. While the bridesmaids were dressed in lovely shades of rust. As planners and photographers, we love different textures of fabrics as it adds so much visual interest and looks beautiful all together.

This bridal party had it all! A mini donkey aka the Beer Burro named Stella made her appearance for some fun adventure, photos and snuggles! There was lots of laughter as the donkey was a bit stubborn walking down the aisle, but she sure was cute as can be!

Every detail of our bride Gabby was stunning! We loved her glammed up look. She wore an elegant off the shoulder wedding gown in a mermaid-style dress. That had a long flowing train and veil, and stylish bridal boots to get around in the desert. While her hair was styled in Hollywood waves and adorned with celestial pins—a nod to her love of all things celestial. She also had a raw diamond engagement ring paired with a wedding band that resembled a constellation. It was perfection, along with her cute moon and stars nail design.

We also need to mention just how handsome Colton was in his black suit and classic look! He looked sharp! Colton shared a funny memory of their first date during his vows. They both had completely different perceptions of how it went. During their first date his friends had been blowing up his phone because he hadn’t realized their Christmas party had gotten moved to that day. After they ate dinner, he noticed his messages and showed Gabby and laughed it off. He then went to the Christmas party and raved about this great girl he just met, feeling it had gone really well. On their second date, Gabby told him that she thought he had put his friends up to it to get him out of the date.

Their first walk as husband and wife they did a flawless dip and kiss at the end of the aisle!

After the ceremony Gabby wanted to walk around and take in all the decor. The dark wood tablescape lined with black and blush runners, variety of vases, cactus pots, disco balls, amber glasses, and mixed-matched plate settings. She mentioned how we nailed it by tying in all her random themes like disco, retro, boho; which we were thrilled to hear! We to loved the color scheme and feel the mix of themes came together beautifully.

The Bride and Groom were seated in cream velvet chairs in front of a wood triangle arch and a neon “Til Death” sign, making them stand out amongst their guests. Gabby wanted the feel to be as if they were walking into their favorite bar with their favorite people. Which we did just that in the desert! Bringing an open mobile bar serving specialty custom drinks from a charming 1970’s camper trailer. Everyone also enjoyed a variety of sourdough pizza served up fresh in the desert for dinner. We love it! The couple also wanted assorted desserts for an alternative to the traditional wedding cake. Who doesn’t love a variety of desserts to sample anyway?!

One of our favorite details that Gabby requested was the “Love Wall”. Which is where we displayed past wedding day photos of their family and friends. Including Colton’s parents, who we learned when visiting with them that they had been married for 33 years. The love wall was a sentimental touch that celebrated not just the couples love but the lasting love of those closest to them.

We also had some wildlife wedding crashers as well! Two chipmunks, big horn sheep, a huge jack rabbit, a kit fox and plenty of birds. With it being their home, you never know what added guests may show up in the beautiful Nevada desert!

As the day got closer to sunset, it was time for couple portraits of our bride and groom. Gabby’s gown got stuck on a desert bush because they are a bit spikey and like to catch the tulle on dresses & veils. Colton, being the true gentleman, swooped in and picked up his bride, carrying her past the bushes. It perfectly captured the loving and playful nature of their relationship.

Then they were back to Vegas where Gabby changed into a cute vintage reception dress and her mom’s veil for photos on Freemont street. It was so much fun walking the Las Vegas strip with these two newlyweds! The party continued with their guests at Mike Morey’s Sip N Tip as we said goodbye!

Their wedding day was the perfect mix of laid-back charm, rock-and-roll moody vibes, and elevated 70’s. Shared with their favorite people it made for a memorable wedding day. Gabby and Colton, may your life together be as beautiful and exciting as your wedding day! Filled with love, laughter, and many more memories ahead! Congratulations and best wishes! Much love, the Cactus and Lace Team.
