Natasha and David are the kind of couple who love travel. The adventure of a new wonderful place, with new sights, smells, and interesting people are enticing to them. So it was a natural fit, that Natasha, a nurse by trade met David, seven years ago, on a tour to Croatia, and the journey’s began. She was from a nurse moved to New Zealand. He was a Scottish Kiwi. The lure of love mixed with travel was strong, so when this couple fell in love, the world became one big gigantic exciting travel location. But the world is pretty big, so David narrowed it down a tad.
Since they were going back on a vacation to Dubravkin, Croatia where they first met, David thought seriously about how to propose and get this girl to marry him. David has a natural smile and positive energy about him, so we were pretty sure that when he fell in love, the girl must be pretty darn special. And she was. Natasha has a soft smile and a natural beauty and grace around her, and loves the outdoors. But more than that, she loves David. So when David suggested a birthday walk on the walls in the morning as a birthday present, who was she to argue? A walk in the morning with the love of your life? Yes, please. But instead of just a walk, one special moment became part of this new family’s history, because he proposed to her on that walk. On a wall in Croatia. What is more special than that? Good work, David. And we are so glad she said YES!
Here at Cactus and Lace we were excited because one of the fun elements of surprise about this wedding was……..a kilt, check out David’s kilt! We have never seen a kilt in person at a wedding! So very cool! There are so many parts and components to it and they each mean something. The tartan, the family history of it, the whole thing was very cool and in keeping with our world traveler theme!
