Eric and Krystal were so giddy in love, and it showed in every little detail of their wedding day. They were such a fun, loving couple we just knew that their wedding was going to turn out fantastically. And it did. We were so touched by the vows they made to each other during the ceremony. Krystal was wiping away a tear or two while Eric was reading his vows and after the sweet and simple ceremony, they kissed, grabbed hands and walked back down the aisle. They were so excited about finally being married, as they made the recessional, Eric told Krystal, “We did it! We did it!” He grabbed her in a big hug and gave her lots of kisses. And then they proceeded to tell each other what a great job the other did in the ceremony! The were absolutely adorable!! These two were so fun, so positive about life, and their wedding, and their family, we just know, that great things will come their way. What a joyful day they created with their happiness, and love for each other, and love for their family and friends. It was a real treat to be with them.
We often are able to serve dinner in the desert to our couples and their guests. This wedding, we had Carmen of Sweet Sauce coffee provide a delicious charcuterie for a light dinner. Carmen also had her coffee bar open, and I have to say, she makes some delicious hot drinks. Rachel and I snagged some hot chocolate from Sweet Sauce Coffee as the sun went behind the hill. The day cooled down, and it was absolutely amazing. Rich, velvety smooth, and the rich cocoa was flavored with delicious essential oils that took it a whole level above anything we have tasted, ever, in the hot chocolate and coffee world.
One of our favorite things about this particular wedding was the thoughtful touches Krystal and Eric wanted incorporated. One of these was the lovely little gift bags with goodies for each of their family and friends. Inside, among other cute things, was a rose quartz rock. The little card said that Eric and Krystal had blessed this little pink stone with their love, and all of their best intentions for each person. Another little touch, was the Instamatic camera. Guests were snap, snap, snapping all kinds of candid photos, and then fixed them in a small, wooden album just made for that purpose.
Eric and Krystal, we loved watching your joy, in the happiness and exuberance of your hugs, and smiles, and your positive loving energy. We loved your tenderness with each other, and your kindness to your guests in so many little ways. With all of the same love and joy, we wish you the very best life has to offer! It was our pleasure to be with you and create a lovely day to remember. Best wishes and a long and happy life together, from all of us at Cactus and Lace!
