Lester and Kamila came all the way from Chicago for their elegant elopement, and they brought the most lovely weather with them. Skies were blue and the weather was warm and balmy, and desert breezes kicked up now and then. Lester and family and other guests arrived at the Valley of Fire before Kamila arrived, so that Lester’s first look at his bride in her lovely wedding gown would be in the glorious Gold Ridge area at Valley of Fire, near Las Vegas. After some unforeseen events which caused a delay, Kamila arrived in the limo, just in time for a sunset ceremony. And what a first look she presented! Truly, she was an absolutely lovely, romantic vision in her wedding gown. We have never seen another gown nor bride quite like this one. And this cut work lace gown looked beautifully exquisite on Kamila. With stunning hair and makeup by Ruby Finch Salon, and with lovely music by a string quartet, our bride walked toward Lester and her waiting family and friends with her mother and sister at her side.

Also waiting was their beloved dog, who was waiting ever so patiently at the arch – a stunning blue eyed Husky named  Zoey.  Zoey knew something was up, and when the couple met at the arch to begin the ceremony, Zoey made sure she was included in the ceremony as much as possible, along with her very young ring bearer, who had her under his tight grip as together, at the appropriate moment, they brought the rings to Lester and Kamila.

Lester and Kamila had each written their own vows. As the setting sun created a watercolor palette of pinks, corals, and brilliant tones upon  the desert hills, Lester lovingly described what Kamila meant to him, and by the end of his vows, she was crying, and he may have also had just a few tears of his own. As Kamila recited her vows to him, his eyes were locked on her the entire time. Such a sweet moment for them as well as their family and friends. When a couple has such heart felt expressions of their love for each other, it can be one of most touching moments of the day.

When the vows and ceremony were concluded, Lester and Kamila cut their delicious cake from the cake artistry of Tiffany Jones, owner of Peridot Sweets, who had created a lovely custom wedding cake for them. Flowers from our wonderfully talented florist team, directed by Char Udall at the Front Porch Flowers added a lovely delicate touch to the ambiance and the decor of this wedding. And the muted soft, watercolors of a desert sunset were carefully painted onto thick paper place cards, custom created and hand lettered with the bride and groom’s name in elegant script by the very talented hand of Jacki Miller of Foil and Ink. Champagne toasts and good wishes from both the newlyweds and family and friends put a final touch of joy on the evening.

We want to add our very best good wishes to this couple. They are both warm, generous, very kind, and so loving to each other, and so very much loved by their family and friends. May your days together be happy, and healthy, with all the best the world has to offer you.
